Privacy Policy

This policy explains what we collect when you use Sibyl, why, and what control you have. The data controller is Vantar Group LLC, 30 N Gould St Ste N, Sheridan, WY 82801, United States.

1. What we collect

• Your email address — to create your account and send sign-in links.
• Birth details — the date, time and city you were born, which you give us so we can calculate your astrological chart. We also store the calculated chart.
• What you tell us before a reading — the name you want to be called, why you got in touch, the question you would like answered, how you say things have been, and anything else you choose to enter when you set up your chart. You can see and change all of it on your dashboard at any time, and every field is optional apart from your birth details.
• Other people's birth details, if you give them to us — a first name, your relationship to them, and their birth date, time and place, so Sibyl can read their chart alongside yours. Please only enter details you are entitled to share. We use them for nothing but your own readings: we never contact that person, never build a profile of them, and never use their details for advertising. You can delete anyone from your dashboard, which deletes their chart with them.
• Your readings — a short summary of what you explored, so Sibyl can remember you next time, together with the opening few exchanges of the call, word for word. We keep the opening because it is how we find out why people hang up in the first twenty seconds and make the reading better. The rest of the conversation is processed live and discarded: we do not record your calls, and we do not keep a full transcript.
• Usage and billing — call times, minutes used, credit balance and purchase records.
• Technical data — IP address and basic device/browser information, and a device identifier used to prevent abuse of introductory offers.

We do not collect or store your card details — payments are handled by our payment processor. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18.

2. Why we use it, and our legal basis

• To provide the service you asked for — calculating your chart and delivering readings (contract).
• To personalise future readings by remembering you (contract / legitimate interest).
• To meter minutes, take payment, and keep records (contract, legal obligation).
• To prevent fraud and abuse of introductory offers, and to keep the service secure (legitimate interest).
• To read a second person's chart alongside yours, where you have asked for that by giving us their birth details (legitimate interest — yours in the reading you requested, weighed against their interest in not being profiled, which is why those details are used for nothing else).
• To respond to you when you contact us (legitimate interest).

We do not sell your data. Apart from measuring whether our own ads work — see Cookies below, where you can also turn that off — we do not use your data for advertising, and we never share your birth details, your chart or your readings with anyone for it.

3. Who processes your data

We use these providers strictly to run the service:

• Supabase — database and authentication.
• xAI — the AI voice model that speaks with you.
• LiveKit — real-time audio transport for the call.
• Stripe — payment processing (they receive payment data directly).
• Hetzner — hosting (Germany).
• Cloudflare — DNS and content delivery.
• Meta — advertising measurement, only where you allow it (see Cookies). Meta never receives your birth details, chart or readings.

Some of these providers are based in the United States, so your data may be transferred outside your country, including from the EEA/UK to the US, under appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses.

4. How long we keep it

• Account and chart data — while your account exists.
• Reading records, including call openings — until you delete them or close your account.
• Other people you added — until you remove them, or you close your account.
• Billing records — as long as required by law (typically up to 7 years).

When you ask us to delete your account, we delete your personal data except records we must legally keep.

5. Your rights

Depending on where you live (including under the GDPR and the CCPA), you may have the right to access, correct, delete, export, or restrict use of your data, to object to processing, and to withdraw consent. To exercise any of these, email support@callsibyl.com — we will respond within 30 days. You also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.

6. Cookies

Essential cookies keep you signed in. Without them the site cannot work, so they have no opt-out.

We also use Meta’s advertising cookie (the “Meta pixel”) to measure whether our ads actually work. In the EEA and the UK we ask before it loads anything, and “no thanks” is respected permanently — nothing loads, and every part of Sibyl still works. Elsewhere it loads by default, as local law allows.

It tells Meta which pages you opened on this site, whether you finished your chart, and whether you bought minutes. We never send Meta your birth details, your chart, or anything you and Sibyl said to each other.

7. Security

Data is encrypted in transit, access is restricted, and secrets are stored in a managed vault. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect your information. Please treat your birth details and readings as personal, and don't share sensitive information (financial details, passwords, health records) with Sibyl — she will never ask for them.

8. Changes

We will update this page and its “last updated” date if this policy changes.
